Looks like J.K. Rowling likes going undercover. She pretendes to be an ex-military man in a new detective novel. Talk about getting into character! The book called “The Cuckoo’s Calling” sales rank was 166,836 just before the real author was renamed. The sales¬†shot up to no. 1 on Amazon after the “Harry Potter” author’s role was revealed.
“I hoped to keep this secret a little longer because being Robert Galbraith has been such a liberating experience,” she said in a statement released by her publicist on Sunday. “It has been wonderful to publish without hype or expectation, and pure pleasure to get feedback from publishers and readers under a different name.”
