EXCLUSIVE: Get To Know Rising Star Actress and Dancer Alicia Kidman!

Alicia Kidman is a rising actress, dancer, and singer in the entertainment industry. She recently starred in the TV series “The Order of Chaos with A K” and has new projects confirmed that are coming up! Read our exclusive Q & A below with Alicia Kidman to find out the latest and more!

Q: Where are you originally from and where are you based now?

Alicia Kidman– A: I was born and raised in Australia. While I’ve lived in lots of different parts of the huge diverse country I spent most of my formative years in a very small sugar cane mining town called Mackay, in the far north tropical rainforest state of Queensland. Now a whole ocean and a 14 hour flight away I am based in the glamorous city of Los Angeles.

Q: Rising in the entertainment industry as an actress, model, and dancer, what motivates and inspires you to be the best at your profession and do you have a top 3 favorite industry pro’s that you’d want to work with in the business?

Alicia Kidman– A: For me personally what inspires me to be the best at my profession is the others in my profession. The amount of talent, dedication, originality and just pure creativity that I am surrounded by every single day whether acting, dancing, music, or modeling you can’t help but get infected by the energy being sent out. There is so much greatness in this city that it lights me up and inspires me. It’s very hard to choose only 3 people that I want to work with so I’ll give you 3 in each industry! In the world of film I’m going to go with Margot Robbie (of course) Quentin Tarantino & Leonardo DiCaprio. In the music industry, my dream collaboration would be Beyonce. In any form, I can. Whether in one of her songwriting camps. Opening for her (if she ever goes on tour again by the time I’m ready for that) or a feature from her. All the talented dancers that exist and my number 1 industry pro choreographer is actually my dance teacher Zonta! I am so inspired by her she is literally my muse and I have a million future plans to work with her on choreographing my music videos. After watching Dita Von Teese Burlesque Show in Vegas right in the front row my life was changed. She is an absolute artist who creates an experience and a feeling. If all I ever get is that one learning moment from her I am eternally grateful. Teyana Taylor is an icon in the dance world. Everything she does is just pure art!

Q:What is your favorite genre in roles you play (Drama, Comedy, Action, Thriller, a little bit of all)?

Alicia Kidman– A: Definitely a little bit of all! There is extreme challenges to all (yes even comedy haha) but there is great fulfillment too. Being a trained theatre actress getting to experience the build-up of emotion over the length of a play makes you experience characters in drama so much deeper. Whereas in film you may need to get to that emotion at 9 am in the first shot of the day. But knowing you’ve done the work to build that and you have it handy at any time is very empowering. Comedy is the biggest challenge for me. While I’ve been told many times I have comedic chops knowing that the only way comedy works is when you have the truth of it can be hard because when it’s wrong it’s definitely wrong. There is a secret formula to being funny which I don’t always have the recipe for. Action is just all-around fun. Getting to be as energetic and as explosive as possible is freeing. But at the same time emotionally exercising for sure.

Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or or other talents you have and or like to do in your spare time?

Alicia Kidman– A: In my spare time, you can find me journalling, scribbling down any and all thoughts that come to my mind. Sometimes, they turn into prayers, sometimes poems, and sometimes just word vomit. If I’m not writing in my diary, I am daydreaming, creating vision boards, meditating, or reading.

Q: What are some projects that you’ve just wrapped up recently or that you’re currently working on?

Alicia Kidman– A: Where to start! What I’m most excited about is my role as Haley in the upcoming film CASH III a three-part trilogy set to release this year. With CASH II already released viewers are left waiting in anticipation to see what will happen with Haley. Alongside filming preparation I am currently planning and organizing a fundraising event for Inner City Arts. An organization dedicated to empowering underprivileged youth through art! I can’t wait to see how it turns out. I am also working on releasing my next single titled “All the way down” in collaboration with some amazingly talented artists that I’m very blessed to be connected with
