EXCLUSIVE: Apurv “AK” Khanna — A Rising Talent Melding Artistry, Intelligence, and Global Perspective

Apurv “AK” Khanna is a dynamic actor, and business economics student – currently honing his craft at UCLA, where he fuses his academic focus in Business, Film, and Theatre into a uniquely powerful artistic identity. Charismatic, driven, and relentlessly curious, Apurv stands at the intersection of performance and intellect — a talent on the rise with the vision and versatility to thrive in today’s global entertainment industry.

Hailing from India, Apurv’s journey to the spotlight began on stage, where he quickly gained recognition for his commanding presence and nuanced performances.

Even early on, he demonstrated a rare duality: the ability to deliver emotionally grounded work while captivating audiences with his razor-sharp comedic timing — earning distinction with an All-India 3rd rank in stand-up comedy series. In 2022, he starred in a Top 10 Indian web series making his mark on digital screens before his transition to Los Angeles.

Since then, Apurv has expanded his creative range. A performer across both theatre and film, he has been involved in the storytelling process from conception to final spotlight. Most recently, he led the cast of a Downtown Los Angeles theatrical production, delivering a magnetic performance as the youngest member of the ensemble — a testament to his gravitas and talent as a promising young artist.

His stage presence has lit up a variety of venues, from UCLA’s campus theaters to the vibrant energy of Downtown LA, the bohemian spirit of Venice Beach, the cultural vibrancy of North Hollywood’s Arts District, and the international stage of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival — where he will return this summer to perform once more. Whether in black box theatres or festival circuits, Apurv commands the stage with emotional intelligence and fearless presence.

Besides the stage, Apurv AK Khanna displayed aspirations to grace the screen and took on the role as the principal actor in the horror short “The Siren” shot indoors in a studio and on set at the Laguna Beach.

This spring, he performed in “Hello, World” at the prestigious Nimoy Theater at UCLA — a visionary one-act play exploring the human condition through the eyes of sentient satellites. The role reaffirmed Apurv’s deep interest in experimental storytelling and world-building, always gravitating toward projects that challenge norms and elevate form.

Apurv “AK” Khanna is not just an actor — he is an intellectual in the field of film & theatre. With a rare combination of classical training, comedic sharpness, exotic culture, cinematic instinct, and industry knowledge he is poised to contribute to bold, genre-defining projects across stage and screen. He seeks not just roles, but partnerships that shape stories with resonance and reach.
