Q: Where are you originally from and where are you  located now on the map?

Nancy Rizk – A:  Currently, I am in my hometown of Melbourne, Australia. I lived in Los Angeles some time ago, and it was an incredible experience that opened up many doors for my acting career.

Q: Nancy, you have a lot of experience in the entertainment industry and have been seen in photos with Al Pacino and many other quality industry pros! What motivates you and inspires you to be the best at your profession in acting?

Nancy Rizk – A: Acting has always been my passion, and what drives me is the ability to step into different characters and bring stories to life. I’m constantly inspired by the craft itself and the incredible professionals I’ve had the opportunity to observe and learn from at industry events and on set. Seeing legends like Al Pacino and other industry greats in action is a reminder of the level of dedication and mastery that goes into this profession.

What truly motivates me is growth, pushing myself to new levels, refining my skills, and constantly evolving as an artist. Acting isn’t just about talent; it’s about discipline, resilience, and a deep commitment to storytelling. I love the challenge, the unpredictability, and the magic that comes with this industry.

I also have a deep appreciation for all sides of the industry, whether it’s acting, writing, producing, or even the business aspects. Understanding the bigger picture helps me approach my work with a greater sense of purpose and creativity. The more I learn about how everything comes together, the more I respect the collaborative effort behind every project. At the end of the day, if I can create work that resonates with people and leaves an impact, that’s what keeps me going.

Q: Do you have a top 3 favorite directors that you’re most inspired by and want to work with in the business?

Nancy Rizk – A:Obviously, the greats are always up there, but lately, I’m loving what’s happening with directors who are really going rogue and creating masterpieces. I’m really inspired by the works of Patrick Hughes and Sam Hargrave. Both of them bring such a unique energy to their films, with incredible action sequences and deep character work that stays with you long after you’ve watched. I’ll go rogue here myself and mention one of my favorite all-rounders, Mindy Kaling. As a writer, producer, and actress, she’s absolutely brilliant at capturing the truth of a comedic scene. She has such a gift for blending humor with real, relatable moments, and I think she’s a master at making comedy both sharp and heartfelt.

Q:  When it comes to genres, what  would you say is your fav roles to play( Drama, Comedy, Crime, Action, a little bit of all) ?

Nancy Rizk – A:I’ve always had a deep love for drama; it’s what first drew me to acting. The emotional depth and complexity of dramatic roles really resonated with me. However, I found a new passion for comedy when I wrote my first comedy series, and that’s where my love for the genre truly blossomed. Comedy is such a unique challenge because it really gets you in your body; it’s physical, it’s timing, and there’s a rhythm to it that’s just as emotionally rewarding as drama. I love both, but comedy has become a huge part of my creative expression. That said, I do enjoy a little bit of everything, whether it’s drama, comedy, or even action. Each genre has something different to offer, and I love the opportunity to explore various sides of a character.

Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Do you have any hobbies or other secret talents you like to do in your spare time ?

Nancy Rizk – A: One thing people might not know about me is that I’m a certified breathwork facilitator, which I find incredibly grounding. What most people don’t understand is that the breath knows where to go, it has an innate wisdom that can guide us through emotional and physical blockages. I’m passionate about exploring ways to heal the mind, body, and soul. In today’s fast-paced world, learning to quiet the noise and go within is something I value deeply. I also love spending time in nature, especially discovering hidden places that feel peaceful and off the beaten path, it’s my way of recharging. Another thing I really enjoy is painting. I consider myself a non-traditional artist, and it’s a creative outlet that lets me express myself in new ways. When I’m not acting, I also enjoy writing and brainstorming new creative projects. Staying connected to both my artistic and personal well-being keeps me grounded and inspired.

Q: What are some projects that you’ve just wrapped up recently or that you’re currently working on now?

Nancy Rizk – A:I recently wrapped on The Red, a horror film that was released in cinemas on Halloween. The film follows an outback cop investigating horrific deaths in her small mining town, and the eccentric townspeople must band together to stop a deadly creature, Rippy, from killing them all. I had the incredible opportunity to play the role of Jimmy, the only female hunter in the film. I got to share the screen with a fantastic cast, including Aaron Pedersen, Tess Haubrich, Michael Biehn, and Angie Milliken. This role was a real highlight for me because I love playing gritty, unconventional characters, and Jimmy was exactly that, an outback hunter on the search for a zombie kangaroo.

Filming in the small town of Cracow in Northern Queensland, as well as in Brisbane, was such an amazing experience. Doing my own stunts was always a hoot, and it was great to push myself physically and emotionally for the role. It was such an awesome set to be a part of, and I’m so proud of how the film turned out.
