Q:Where are you originally from and where are you based now?

Thenegrad Fils-Aime -A: Born in Elizabeth, NJ but was raised in Rahway, NJ. A beautiful, supportive, and diverse city that shaped me into the person I am today. I’m currently based in Cherry Hill, NJ with close access to both Philly and New York Markets.

Q: Rising in the industry, what motivates and inspires you to be the best at your profession in acting and do you have a top 3 favorite actors, filmmakers, or directors that you want to work with in the business?

Thenegrad Fils-Aime -A: What motivates me most is the ability to tell real, impactful stories that connect with people on a deeper level. Acting gives me the opportunity to step into different lives and perspectives while responding truthfully to given circumstances. That responsibility—along with my innate empathy and my love of psychology—pushes me to constantly elevate my craft. I’m also driven by my family—they’re a big reason I stay disciplined and committed to becoming the best version of myself, both on and off screen. I want to build something meaningful that they can be proud of.

As for inspiration, I study actors who bring authenticity and range to every role. My top three are Denzel Washington, Anthony Hopkins, and Leonardo DiCaprio. Each of them has a unique ability to fully embody their characters and elevate every project they’re part of.

In terms of filmmakers, I’d love to work with Ryan Coogler, Quentin Tarantino, and Jordan Peele. Coogler’s storytelling feels powerful and culturally grounded, Tarantino brings a bold, stylized creativity that challenges actors, and Peele has a way of blending social commentary with genre storytelling that really stands out. Each of them creates a different kind of world, and I’d love the opportunity to contribute to those visions.

Q: What is your favorite genre in roles you play (Drama, Comedy, Action, Thriller, a little bit of all)?

Thenegrad Fils-Aime -A: I’d say drama, just because of the vulnerability. It really lets me dig into emotions that people don’t always show in real life. But honestly, I enjoy all genres—each one brings out something different in me.

Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or other talents you have and or like to do in your spare time?

Thenegrad Fils-Aime -A: Outside of acting, I coach and compete in Jiu-Jitsu, where I’ve won multiple tournaments and super fights. It’s something that’s really shaped my discipline, focus, and mindset. I’m also a full-time professional and a dedicated father, so my free time is often spent with my family or supporting my daughter at volleyball tournaments. That combination of structure, responsibility, and passion is what drives me both on and off camera.

Q: What are some projects that you’ve just wrapped up recently or that you’re currently working on?

Thenegrad Fils-Aime -A: Recently wrapped up filming a thriller called Fear is Not Real. It’s a story about a young boy named Raheem who’s haunted by spirits no one else can see. I play the lead role of AJ and the film is due to release Summer of 2026. I’m currently working on a mini drama series for the backstory of “The Masked Men”. We recently released episode 3 – The Pills, where my recurring role of Dom is introduced.
