Selected for Mark DeGarmo Dance’s prestigious 15th Anniversary Virtual Salon Performance Series for Social Change 2025, performances will be held on April 3rd and 4th, 2025, offering audiences a unique opportunity to witness Wang’s powerful storytelling and artistic vision.

The central image of a young girl drawn to a pristine white wedding cake embodies the seductive nature of illusion and promise. As she climbs, she discovers the harsh reality that lies beneath the surface, a reality that challenges her innocence and forces her to confront the true cost of beauty and desire.

Meet the Artist: Yixin Wang
Yixin Wang is a Los Angeles-based Actress with an impressive resume that includes performances at prestigious venues such as La MaMa and Lincoln Center in New York City, as well as the Paramount Theatre in Boston. Her acting credits include roles in “Men on Boats,” “KODAMA,” “Street Fighter,” and “Sexual Enlightenment.” “KODAMA” and “Sexual Enlightenment” have garnered recognition at international film festivals, including the Korea International Short Film Festival and the New York International Film Festival. Her personal piece, “Are You the Last Slice?” will be featured in the “Co-Creation Project” at the CICA Museum, further solidifying her reputation as an innovative and thought-provoking artist. Wang is also the co-founder of “Mou Theatre” at New York University!
