EXCLUSIVE: Get To Know Rising Actor Joshua Lewis!

Joshua Lewis is a rising actor in the film industry! He is known for his recent role in the comedy film “Parallax Error.” Read below our exclusive Q & A with Rising Actor Joshua Lewis!

Q: Joshua, where are you originally from and where are you based now?

Joshua Lewis – A: I was born in Milford, Connecticut, USA, and at the very young age of 2, moved to Sydney, Australia. We then moved back to the USA when I was about 6, and I spent about 4 years in Nashville, Tennessee, and 1 year in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. My family and I then moved back to Sydney Australia where I have lived and am based now. Growing up in Nashville gave me an up-close and personal perspective on the creative arts, and I’ve been passionate about the dramatic arts ever since.

Q: Rising in the industry, what motivates and inspires you to be the best at your profession in acting and do you have a top 3 favorite actors, filmmakers, or directors that you want to work with in the business?

Joshua Lewis – A: Provoking an emotional response in the audience through my acting inspires me and motivates me to perform to the best of my ability. There’s no better feeling as an actor than portraying a character effectively enough to not only grab hold of the audience’s attention but to truly move them and make them feel for your character. My top three favorite actors would be the late but great Robin Williams, Hugh Jackman, and Anne Hathaway, all of whom are legends in their own right. A dream of mine would be to work under the direction of Baz Luhrmann, Martin Scorsese, or Christopher Nolan, each being such uniquely brilliant storytellers.

Q:What is your favorite genre in roles you play (Drama, Comedy, Action, Thriller, a little bit of all)?

Joshua Lewis – A: I enjoy playing parts in all genres, especially dramas and comedies. I really love playing the jester character that you feel inclined to laugh with or at, yet the audience still feels sympathetic of. I feel it’s a wonderful dynamic that I can play well and really make the audience emotionally invested.

Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or or other talents you have and or like to do in your spare time?

Joshua Lewis – A: Something people may not know about me is that I have a passion for ice hockey! Not only am I a great fan of the sport but, as rare as it is to play ice hockey in Australia, I am also a decent player and confident ice skater. It’s an exciting sport that is great fun to watch and even more so to play.

Q: What are some projects that you’ve just wrapped up recently or that you’re currently working on?

Joshua Lewis – A: A project I have wrapped up recently was a short film called Parallax Error directed by Sinan Anwar and written by J.E. Clarke. I am currently looking for as many auditions as I can find to apply for so that I can expand my acting resume and become a more knowledgeable and skilled professional actor.
