Exclusive: Get To Know Rising Actress Kimberley Kim!

Kimberley Kim is a rising film actress known for her roles in The Agreement (2024), Marry a Stranger (2023), and My Choice (2024). Kimberly recently confirmed her latest film project coming up. Read below our Q & A with Actress Kimberly Kim to find out the latest!

Q: Where are you originally from and where are you located now on the map?

Kimberley Kim -A: I am from a small town called Sidney, located on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Ironically, it is the same place that Pam Anderson, Kim Cattrall, and David Foster come from—so this island is a special place! I always say we have great water up there, and the small town is an inspiring place to grow up!

Q: You’ve starred in many films and tv-series! What motivates you and inspires you to be the best at your profession, and what do you love most about acting?

Kimberley Kim -A: I have made it my goal to be the kind of person I would want to work with, meaning, being on time, being professional, no prima donna behavior, knowing my lines, and knowing what is expected of me. Because there is so much chaos on sets, I want to be hired again, so I make sure I am reliable and not one of the ‘flaky’ actors out there—which there are plenty of. It is called show business because it is a business and should be treated as such.

Q: Do you have a top 3 favorite actors, filmmakers, or directors that you’ve been most inspired by and want to work with in the business?

Kimberley Kim -A: Christopher Walken because he had worked his way up from a kid doing all levels of work, such as background acting, to theater to leading film roles. But in all that he has brought humor and humanity to all characters. Of course, Meryl Streep as she makes it look easy, and all her roles are so natural, and she makes you care about them. For me, the key to effective acting is caring about the character. And all her work, makes me care about her characters. And James Cameron, because he is so meticulous and dedicated to the craft of making films. He will find solutions to make sure his end goal is reached; that, to me, is admirable.

Q: As an actress , what would you say is your fav genre in films( Drama, Comedy, Crime, Action, a little bit of all) ?

Kimberley Kim -A: I love drama because it interweaves all facets of life. With drama we can see the comedy within our stories, the high intensity of terrible things we can do to each other. In that vein, it is the best and worst and all those lines in-between, even the perceived mundane that helps us explore this thing called humankind.

Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or other secret talents you have and or like to do in your spare time ?

Kimberley Kim -A: I hold an MBA in finance, so as well as being an actor, I am a Finance Analyst for a university. I am a good juggler of time and shifting from the finance world to the creative world, as I have found it a necessity to do what I love.

Q: What are some projects that you’ve just wrapped up recently or that you’re currently working on now?

Kimberley Kim -A: Yes, I have a horror film called “Dawn” that will be coming out and a drama with the Flutter Brothers Productions. As well as a few commercials, it should be hitting the pavement soon, so I am thrilled about that too. But again, it is a constant hustle of auditioning almost daily and working on the craft and keeping focused on getting the next job! Every day is new and exciting, and that is what I love about this business.
