EXCLUSIVE: Get To Know Rising Star American Actor Dakota Ogden from 1923!

Dakota Ogden is a rising American actor and musician. Dakota is known for his work in popular TV Series, read further as we had the chance to do an exclusive Q & A with Actor Dakota Ogden!

Q: Dakota, can you give us an insight into your background?

Dakota Ogden – A: I grew up in Utah as a cowboy. My friends had big ranches in Utah, Nevada, and Wyoming, and so I grew up around horses and cattle, and then I started riding bulls when I was about 12, and I rode bulls for like 10 years until I was around 22. I had grown my hair out kind of long at the time and was kind of just like this wild man. I then started to get a pull into my creative side, and so I gradually shifted away from that gladiator-style life of being a bull rider. I got into writing songs and playing guitar, and I was also starting to get all these random people saying, like, “Hey, you know, you look like you’re famous, or you should be on TV or in movies and magazines,” and it was like all this serendipity of people telling me this at the time. I kind of shifted away from that cowboy side of me as I was taking acting classes, also making my own music during this period and it became more clear that’s where I needed to shift my direction to.

Q: As a rising actor, what motivates you and inspires you to be the best at your profession, and what do you love most about acting?

Dakota Ogden – A: Telling a story that brings hope, that brings happiness to people, that shares a little bit of light and joy to the world. I think there’s a lot of movies and TV that are just so dark-themed nowadays. When I was a young man out in California, I went there to be inspired, but I wasn’t, and so I realized that to be inspired, you have to be inspiring. So you have to do things as if you’re the hero in your own story.

Q: Who are your top actors, filmmakers, or directors that you are most inspired by and want to work with in the business?

Dakota Ogden – A: Well, I would have really liked to work with John Hughes, but he passed. I think it would be cool to work with Quentin Tarantino. There’s a friend of mine. He’s directed a documentary and a lot of commercials, but he’s working on his film debut. His name’s Bud Force. I’d like to work with him some more.

Q: What would you say is your favorite genre in roles to play?

Dakota Ogden – A: I feel like I have a natural tendency towards comedy, and I just think it brings more inspiration and happiness to people. However, as you progress in acting, you also start to see yourself in different roles, or, like, you can be the hero and the villain.

Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you?

Dakota Ogden – A: I previously worked in a gold mine. Sometimes people think because maybe I have a little bit of an accent or I’m a bit more country, I’m not as intelligent, but I think that when I sit down and I talk with somebody, like, on intellectual matters, they actually become surprised. I just want to stay grounded in myself. Over the last year or two, I’ve really gained a greater relationship with myself and a greater relationship with Jesus in a way too.

Q: Can you share more about some of your recent film or TV projects?

Dakota Ogden – A: I got the opportunity to start wrangling horses in “1883” Western TV miniseries. Then I was able to audition for “1923,” which I was cast in the roles of Carl. I’ve also worked on “Yellowstone” and “Bass Reeves.”
