Exclusive: Get To Know Rising Star Actor Tyler Delaney!

Tyler Delaney is a rising actor in the film industry and we’ve had the chance to do an exclusive interview with Tyler and talk about his latest role in Maid Droid: Origins! Read below our Q & A to find out more!

Q: Tyler, where are you from and where are you based out of?

Tyler Delaney – A: I’m originally from a small suburb in Maryland. I spent the first 19 years there before deciding to move to LA for college. But now I live in the heart of the City of Angels. It’s nothing short of a constantly progressing experience being here, and not just for the sake of being in entertainment. You can find something to do in Los Angeles any day of the week. Honestly, it’s still thrilling to go hiking in the mountains and be able to go to the beach within two hours. But the people make everything memorable here. Being on set is always a chance to create relationships, but I’ve made several friendships that started just from small talk with someone at an event.

Q: Rising in the film industry, what do you say is the number one thing you do that helps contribute to your success and staying on track as an actor?

Tyler Delaney – A: While strong determination goes a long way in this industry, discipline may be more critical. There’s so much to juggle when you’re a part of the entertainment industry, but there are moments when it becomes overwhelming. But that’s when discipline comes into play. Learning how to make a routine for me has been a saving grace; when auditions start flooding in, it calms me to know that I have a system down for rehearsing. Not to forget, staying successful mentally is about never taking the rejections personally.

Q: Do you have a favorite genre in roles to play?

Tyler Delaney – A: Hmm. I enjoy playing characters that are more grounded in drama than anything else. There’s something about helping convey the significance of the plot, the weight of a moment or event in the story. That doesn’t always mean just a bit of back-and-forth dialogue, but a scene with two characters interacting briefly can go a long way. For me, that’s incredibly exciting to be a part of.

Q: Can you talk about your latest film project, Maid Droid: Origins? What is the film about, and also, can you explain your role?

Tyler Delaney – A: Maid Droid: Origins is an exciting story with several elements. It revolves around an inventor who creates an android, but the situation quickly goes awry, and the rest of the story unwinds from there. My character is a guide who foreshadows what’s to come.

Q: Aside from acting, do you have any hobbies, talents, or something else you like to do in your spare time?

Tyler Delaney – A: Well, I am a huge film buff, which isn’t surprising given the industry I’m in. But acting aside, I genuinely love films. There are so many genres I’m a fan of, and I always enjoy sitting back and watching an exciting movie. I enjoy bike riding and scenic cruises along the serene coastline. In addition, I’m an avid hiker, which allows me to enjoy my alone time.
