Dezarie Robinson is a rising actress, producer, and writer in the entertainment industry. Aside from her amazing drive in acting booking numerous roles and also starring in commercial, Dezarie is also an author and public speaker! Read below our exclusive Q & A below with Rising Actress Dezarie Robinson.

Q: Where are you originally from and where are you located now on the map?

Dezarie Robinson -A: Born in Takoma Park, MD, raised in Landover Hills, MD. Currently reside in Cincinnati, OH.

Q: As a rising actress, what motivates you and inspires you to be the best at your profession and what do you love most about acting?

Dezarie Robinson -A: In my acting journey, I have learned so many different things about movie making. This is what keeps me going. I have earned producer credits and assistant director credits just by showing up and being me. I love helping wherever I can, and the excitement that comes over me from seeing others reach their full potential on set motivates me. Knowing that I can do more than just act. I am always willing to learn new things. Learning new things helps me reach higher levels, which in turn gives larger rewards.

Q: Do you have a top 3 favorite actors, filmmakers, or directors that you are most inspired by and want to work with in the business?

Dezarie Robinson -A: Yes. I would love to be in a movie with Taraji P. Henson one day. This young lady inspires me so much every time I hear her story. She is always talking about how she walked across the stage with her son on her hip at her college graduation. She motivates me to keep going. When she spoke about people telling her she wouldn’t make Hollywood if she didn’t make it by a certain age, but at 46 stating she was just beginning to touch the surface. I am 40 and hold on to her words all the time.

I would love to work with Mariska Hargitay. She inspires me so much. Her dedication to her job and having a family. The way she speaks for the victims and advocates for real justice melts my heart. I would love to work with her on Law and Order SVU one day. It’s honestly my biggest dream as an actress. The way she is on television, I know she is this way in real life. She actually cares about what she is doing. She loves the art of what she does. It’s not just about the money for her, and you can tell. She loves feeling needed and loved.

I would love to work with Jason Beghe. I love police shows. I’ve been told I portray police/detective/FBI roles very well. Jason’s take-charge attitude on the screen is a breath of fresh air to me. He gets justice and doesn’t care how it comes. He doesn’t ask for permission; he opens the door for forgiveness later.

Q: What would you say is your fav genre in roles to play?

Dezarie Robinson -A: : I would love to be in an action movie. However, crime has been what I’ve done more of. I do have to say I do police/detective/FBI roles quite well.

Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or other secret talents you have and/or like to do in your spare time?

Dezarie Robinson -A: I love to write. I would love to write a screenplays. I do have a book of poetry out titled Just A Thought, available on Amazon.com. I also have a small autobiography of my early adult life titled Misery Speaks Loud, available on Amazon.com. Both books were written and published under my maiden name, Dezarie Owens.

Q: What are some projects that you’ve just wrapped up recently or that you’re currently working on now?

Dezarie Robinson -A: I just recently finished working on 3 films toward the end of 2024; they are all set to be released in 2025.

The first movie I ever worked on as a principal character and co-producer and second assistant director was “Shadow Dome Warrior of The Night.” I was a detective (Detective Jasmine Banks) in this movie. In this movie we are attempting to stop the Red Snake Gang from terrorizing the entire city.

In my second movie, I was a supporting character. I was an FBI Director (Agent Pierce). In this movie called “Roofied,” we were trying to stop a human trafficking ring and bring justice to families of young girls who kept disappearing and dying.

In my third movie, “The Wealth Of The Sinner,” I was a principal character and assistant director and executive producer. I was a crooked gospel record label owner.
