Maria Sole Quintili is a rising actress known for her roles in Wash MY Sin (2024), Art of Disaster and Nature Story (2024). We had the chance to do an exclusive Q & A with Maria where she revealed her latest projects. Read further to find out the latest and more!
Q: Where are you originally from and where are you located now on the map?

Maria Sole Quintili – A: I was born and raised in Italy and I am now based in Los Angeles, CA.
Q: As a rising actress, what motivates you and inspires you to be the best at your profession, and what do you love most about acting?

Maria Sole Quintili – A: Life itself inspires me: what I love the most about acting is that it allows me to live an infinite amount of lives; every day is new, different, and exciting; every day I see life in a new perspective, I meet people and learn from them; every day I’m a new person, with different thoughts, feelings, and wants. There are hundreds of ways I’d like to be, and I don’t want to pick just one: I want to experience life to its fullest, and acting is the best way I’ve found to accomplish that.
Q: Can you share your top 3 favorite actors, filmmakers, or directors that you’ve been most inspired by and want to work with in the business?

Maria Sole Quintili – A: I might be influenced by my passion for Harry Potter in answering this question, but two of my favorite actors of all time are Helena Bonham Carter and Gary Oldman. Someone I would love to work with is Ricky Gervais because he’s my favorite comedian, and I overall really admire him as a person.
Q: What would you say is your favorite genre in films and roles to play (drama, Comedy, Crime, Action, a little bit of all) ?

Maria Sole Quintili – A: If we’re talking about what I like to watch, I don’t really have a favorite genre: as long as it’s a good story and it’s not a horror, I’ll watch it. I probably gravitate more towards drama, fantasy, and dark comedies just because they’re more thought-provoking. My favorite genre to play is definitely comedy: sitcoms, satires, farces, Shakespearean comedies, and even romcoms. Screw crying; making people laugh is the best feeling ever. Besides, in comedies I unleash my inner child, which is otherwise restricted in real life.
Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or other secret talents you have and/or or like to do in your spare time ?

Maria Sole Quintili – A: My greatest passions are horseback riding, dancing, skiing, and hiking. Obviously I’m no professional, but I would say I am at an advanced level in all of them. Besides that, I can speak Spanish and translate Latin.
Q: What are some projects that you’ve just wrapped up recently or that you’re currently working on now?

Maria Sole Quintili – A: I’ve recently worked on the immersive/interactive play “Love Game” with Last Call Theater: it was an amazing experience that was heavily based on the actors’ improvisational skills. I had a blast. I met very interesting people, and I visibly improved my acting chops. At the moment I’m working on a 60-minute version of As You Like It for the Fringe Festival, and I’m very excited about it!
