Georgie Cufone is a rising actress, director, and producer in the film industry. She is most known for her work in Jimmy (2024), The Cottage (2022) and Strange Nights. Georgie recently revealed new projects in the industry! Read below our exclusive Q & A with Actress Georgie Cufone!
Q: Where are you originally from and where are you based now?
Georgie Cufone – A: I was born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia and have been living in Sydney for nearly 3 years.
Q: Rising in the entertainment industry, what motivates and inspires you to be the best at your profession in acting and do you have a top 3 favorite actors, filmmakers, or directors that you want to work with in the business?
Georgie Cufone – A: I love connecting with people and discovering what makes them, them. Acting allows me to do that everyday through telling stories. Also storytelling is such a powerful device for bringing people together. I have certainly found solace in art throughout my life and I want to provide that same comfort and connection for others through my work.
People like Andrew Garfield and Cynthia Erivo spring to mind as actors whose artistry I admire and would love to work alongside. Also, I love David Fincher’s style and it would be an absolute dream to work with him one day.
Q:What is your favorite genre in roles you play (Drama, Comedy, Action, Thriller, a little bit of all)?
Georgie Cufone – A: I truly love a little bit of it all. It’s a fun challenge to find authenticity and truth within the parameters of each genre. But when I first started screen acting, I did a lot of work on horrors and thrillers so those genres have a special place in my heart.
Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or or other talents you have and or like to do in your spare time?
Georgie Cufone – A: Something people may not know about me is that I am a big musical theatre nerd. I often will go to productions and cry at how overwhelmingly talented everyone in the cast and crew are. A big dream for me is to do musical theatre one day! I love to sing and I am really into reformer pilates.
Q: What are some projects that you’ve just wrapped up recently or that you’re currently working on?
Georgie Cufone – A: I recently worked on a feature film called ’The Undesirables’. A big goal of mine was to work on a project where I had to sing for the role and I got to do that in this film! I play a rockstar called Casey Kai who has the opportunity to go overseas with her music, but her boyfriend is doing everything he can to convince her to stay or risks losing her forever. The creative team on the project were so wonderful to work with and the story has so much heart so I’m really excited for the world to see it!
