Exclusive: Get To Know Rising Star Actor Blake Spires!

Blake Spires is a rising actor in the film industry. He recently wrapped a role in the recent film ‘Chameleon’. Read below our exclusive Q & A with Actor Blake Spires.

Q: Where are you originally from and where are you based now?

Blake Spires – A: I was born and raised in Knoxville, TN. While Knoxville will always be home, I’m currently spending most of my time in Atlanta, GA.

Q: Rising in the industry, what motivates and inspires you to be the best at your profession in acting and do you have a top 3 favorite actors, filmmakers, or directors that you want to work with in the business?

Blake Spires – A: I just have a passion for acting and I truly feel like it’s something I can be successful at. I’ve always been the type to give my all to anything I’m doing. Although I currently still have a “day job” I have to focus on as well, I’d love to be able to focus solely on acting and perfecting my skill at some point. I got a late start to my acting career and it’s something I know takes time and dedication. My ultimate goal would be to land a lead or strong supporting role in the next 5 years. A lead in a feature film would be great, but I also  think I’d be a great fit for a running series.

As far as actors, I’d love to work with Sylvester Stallone, Frank Grillo, and Neal McDonough. Wait, do I want to be on Tulsa King? Yeah, maybe! Haha They all just seem like solid, down-to-earth guys. Sly is obviously a legend. I mean, who wouldn’t want to work with Rocky Balboa?! Frank Grillo is a total beast and just an in your face, tell you like it is kinda guy. I loved his role in Kingdom. Neal McDonough is an actor I’ve grown to greatly admire. He seems to have a strong set of grounded, unwavering morals and he is just such a versatile actor in so many roles. Highly underrated in my opinion.

Q:What is your favorite genre in roles you play (Drama, Comedy, Action, Thriller, a little bit of all)?

Blake Spires – A: I enjoy playing a variety of roles, but I feel like I’m very well suited for any kind of action packed law enforcement or military type role. I also think I can pull off a good comedy role. There’s a surprisingly funny dry sense if humor behind this stoic exterior. I have a passion for faith based/Christian type roles as well. My first experience with acting was in Easter plays at my church and that ultimately lead me to pursue acting further. I feel like acting in these kinds of projects can be my way of helping spread the good Word.

Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or or other talents you have and or like to do in your spare time?

Blake Spires – A: Well outside of acting, I have had a career in healthcare basically my entire adult life. I started working in a hospital basically right out of high school and I have been an X-ray Tech for the last 14 years, specializing in Interventional Radiology for about the last 8 years. I also own a small business with my father.

Outside of work, I have a number of hobbies. I love the outdoors. I enjoy working on different projects around the house. I’ve always loved working out and lifting, although I don’t get to designate as much time to that right now as I’d like to. My absolute favorite past time, however, is spending time with my daughter. She is my world.

Q: What are some projects that you’ve just wrapped up recently or that you’re currently working on?

Blake Spires – A: Currently, I’m eagerly awaiting the release of the Feature film Chameleon, by Andrew Dean. I’m also about to start work on a film, titled Decisions – A Woman’s Heart, with director Bridget Jackson.

Q: What are your official social sites on the web that we can follow?
