EXCLUSIVE: GET TO KNOW RISING STAR ACTOR DARRELL TERRELL!

Darrell Terrell is a rising actor in the film industry and a former top level bodybuilder. Darrell has five upcoming projects in the works at various stages of production. Read further, as we had the chance to do an exclusive Q & A with Actor Darrell Terrell!

Q: Where are you originally from and where are you located now on the map?

Darrell Terrell – A:I am originally from Oklahoma and currently reside in Oklahoma.

Q: As a rising actor, what motivates you and inspires you to be the best at your profession and what do you love most about acting?

Darrell Terrell – A: As an actor, I am motivated by the abundance of exciting opportunities that await me. My acting coach, Kylr Coffman (@ofa.studios), always emphasizes the importance of putting in the 10,000 hours of practice. When I think about this, I envision the potential growth and improvement I can achieve in that time. It’s a commitment of 416 days, and I wonder where I would be as an actor and how much I would learn during that period.

In the entertainment industry, progress takes time, so while I pursue my dreams, I understand the importance of continuously honing my craft and staying disciplined. Coming from a background in bodybuilding, I know that every workout contributes to building a strong physique. Similarly, being in acting class is like being in the gym for my acting skills.

The possibilities of where this journey may take me keep me motivated and inspired. I find myself working on scene work late into the night, sometimes even waking up my supportive wife, Jamie Terrell, at 2 a.m. to rehearse lines. I firmly believe that God has a plan for me, and I am dedicated to putting in the necessary work to achieve success in my acting career.

Q: Do you have a top 3 favorite actors, filmmakers, or directors that you want to work with in the business?

Darrell Terrell – A: Denzel Washington has always been one of my favorite actors, not only because of his incredible talent on screen, but also because of how he carries himself as a husband and the inspiring story he shares with his wife.

I have had the pleasure of knowing director Kyle Harris for a couple of years now, and what truly inspires me about him is the unwavering passion he exhibits for his craft. I wholeheartedly believe he is destined to become one of the top film producers in the industry very soon.

Sylverster Stallone, both a filmmaker and actor, is an absolute icon in the entertainment industry. Growing up watching the Rocky movies, I was inspired by his story. The fact that he continues to be a prominent figure in the industry speaks volumes about his talent and dedication.

While there are many other actors, filmmakers, and directors, I could mention these individuals are truly great examples of the incredible talent and passion that exists in the industry.

Q: What would you say is your fav genre in roles you play( Drama, Comedy, Crime, Action, a little bit of all) ?

Darrell Terrell – A:I make a sincere effort to explore a wide range of emotions in various roles, including suspenseful, dramatic, comedic, and action-packed ones. Dedicating hours each week to immerse myself in these different genres is truly instrumental in my development as an actor.

From the very beginning of my acting journey, I set a personal goal of becoming a well-rounded performer. I never wanted to confine myself to a single typecast or limit my creative potential. Instead, I strive to break free from any constraints by embracing diverse roles on set and in acting classes. Additionally, I challenge myself to master different accents, further expanding my versatility as an actor.

Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or other secret talents you have or like to do in your spare time ?

Darrell Terrell – A: During my teenage and early adult years, I dedicated myself to the world of bodybuilding, placing a strong emphasis on discipline and hard work. Achieving success, I earned the titles of NPC Mr. Teen Oklahoma and NPC Mr. Oklahoma, which paved the way for me to participate in esteemed NPC National Bodybuilding competitions.

Not only did this experience establish my presence in the bodybuilding realm, but it also opened doors for me to work as a fitness model for renowned National and International Bodybuilding & Fitness magazines. Through this endeavor, I further refined my discipline and commitment to leading a life as a personal trainer.

In addition to my passion for bodybuilding, I find solace and joy in flying FPV drones. Furthermore, another favorite pastime of mine is creating workout videos for clients, my wife, and putting together videos that spark my creativity.

Q: What are some projects that you’ve just wrapped up recently or that you’re currently working on now?

Darrell Terrell – A: I recently had the incredible opportunity to be a part of the SWAT team in the thrilling movie “The Huntsman,” directed by the talented Kyle Harris. The cast is absolutely phenomenal, and I strongly believe that it will be a must-see film!

Additionally, I took part in the OKC 48 Hour Film Project, where I had the pleasure of collaborating with a fantastic team called “Fix it in Post” by director Cole Snipes and Skyler Snipes and “Anna,” directed by Dan Alvarez. It was an absolute blast, and not only did it allow me to showcase my skills, but it also provided a valuable platform for networking and connecting with new faces in the film industry in Oklahoma.

Furthermore, I am thrilled to share that I have an exciting project in the works with the talented director, writer, and actor, Dylan Cole Black. I am eagerly looking forward to what the future holds, and I feel truly blessed to have these opportunities come my way.
