Actor Nicholas Zoto

Nicholas Zoto – A:I am originally from Doylestown, Pennsylvania, and I moved to New York when I was 18 years old. But I still go back to my hometown quite often because my family & friends are still there.

Q: What motivates you and inspires you to be the best at your profession in acting and do you have a top 3 favorite actors, filmmakers or directors that you want to work with in the business?

Nicholas Zoto – A:I would say just the enjoyment of getting to escape reality for a bit to play as someone else is one of the main reasons I love acting and thrive to be the best. Sometimes acting can be therapy in the sense that you can unleash emotions in your character that you may not be able to in real life. I also just really enjoy the art of acting and have a lot of respect for everyone in the field, and I still find it very interesting to see a piece of entertainment being created firsthand. When it comes to Directors that  I would love to work with, I would say Christopher Nolan would be at the very top of that list. Ever since I was old enough to start watching PG-13 movies, I was able to recognize that Christopher Nolan was a genius. Starting off with the Batman trilogy when I was a kid, and then as I got older watching Interstellar, the Prestige, Inception, most recently Oppenheimer, and many more. In my opinion, he is the greatest director of all time, and getting to work with him would be a dream come true. When it comes to actors I’d love to work with, three that come to mind are Jason Segel, Paul Rudd, and Steve Carell.  All three have been very successful in the world of comedy, and that’s a field that I would love to get more work and experience in. How I Met Your Mother and The Office are my two favorite shows of all time, so I’ve watched Segel and Carell a lot, and I’ve seen pretty much every Paul Rudd movie, and I just think I would be able to learn so much if I had the chance to work with them.  I would also love to work with The King of Marvel, Mr. Kevin Feige one day, because portraying any role in the Marvel Universe would also be a dream come true for me!

Q: What would you say is your fav genre in roles you play (Drama, Comedy, Action, Thriller, a little bit of all)?

Nicholas Zoto – A:My favorite genre of role to play is definitely comedy, but action is something I would love to do, but I haven’t had the chance yet. Comedy is my favorite though simply because I’ve always loved to make people laugh around me, and being in a comedy, you have the chance to make people around the world laugh.

Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or other secret talents you have and or like to do in your spare time?

Nicholas Zoto – A:I am a very big sports fan. A Philly sports fan to be exact, but regardless, I love watching sports and am very invested in them. Football is my favorite to watch, but I also love baseball and basketball. I will also occasionally watch hockey, but I’m not as tapped into it. I do a lot of research into the sports as well, so I know a lot about all of the teams, all of the players, and overall, I would say I have a lot of sports knowledge. Something else I would say I’m very good at and love to do is gaming—play video games. Almost all of the games that I play are competitive, and once I get invested in one, I am determined to get as good as I possibly can. My favorite games are Valorant, Rocket League, Apex Legends, Overwatch, and there’s definitely some more, but you can find me in those lobbies if you want the smoke.
