Q: Where are you originally from and where are you located now on the map?

Omar Zhari -A: I’m originally located in Healdsburg, California. I am still located here but will be moving to Los Angeles in August to further pursue my acting career and college education.

Q: As a rising actor, what motivates you and inspires you to be the best at your profession and what do you love most about acting?

Omar Zhari -A: What motivates me to keep going is remembering previous successes. You can’t get too lost with the highs and the lows; you have to stay grounded and be at peace with the medium. What I love most about acting is being a part of a cohesive and rich story. It feels like you’re being a part of something far greater than you; it’s a blessing, in all honesty.

Q: Do you have a top 3 favorite actors, filmmakers, or directors that you are most inspired by and want to work with in the business?

Omar Zhari -A: I do have people in the business that I’m inspired by! They’ve really inspired me given their cultural background, work of art, and leading roles. Oscar Isaac is my main inspiration, just his longevity, versatility, and portfolio is off the charts. As for a director, I’d love to work with Denis Villeneuve, a phenomenal director. I’m a huge fan of his. Especially how he builds monumental moments. Lastly, I’d go with Adria Arjona, I’ve always been infatuated by her performances. Especially in recent light, her Bix in Andor is brilliant.

Q: What would you say is your favorite genre in roles to play( Drama, Comedy, Crime, Action, a little bit of all) ?

Omar Zhari -A: My favorite genre in roles to play has to be Drama. I love the way Drama can completely immerse and captivate you with a set of characters. Although my dream role will always be to play in a period piece. Specifically, one in medieval times. I love the costuming and the accents during that time, and I feel I’d be very immersed in those archetypes of worlds.

Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or other secret talents you have and or like to do in your spare time ?

Omar Zhari -A: Of course! I love to play volleyball/basketball and go to the gym. Staying healthy physically has really helped my mental. I don’t believe I have any secret talents, unfortunately. I wish!

Q: What are some projects that you’ve previously worked on?

Omar Zhari -A: I’ve been blessed to previously be on a handful of sets, films, and commercials. One in particular is an upcoming unionized feature film by the name of The Rich Kid Rules. I had a blast and hope for that project to grow in the future. Another one would be “Little One.” A zombie film, where it was the first time I used prosthetics and severe amounts of makeup—that was also fun!

Q: What are your official social sites on the web we can follow ?

Omar Zhari -A: You can see me on Instagram where I post most of my work. Thank you!
