EXCLUSIVE RISING STARS: GET TO KNOW ACTOR/PRODUCER GIORGIO ROSSINI!

Giorgio Rossini is a rising actor and film producer. He is known for starring in “The Matriach” TV series, “Kidnapped,” “Velaris,”  and “Bear-Lee: A Story” TV-movie. Giorgio has five other upcoming film projects in the works! Read further as we had the chance to do an exclusive Q & A with Giorgio Rossini!

Q: Where are you originally from and where are you located now on the map?

giorgio rossini

Giorgio Rossini – A: I am originally from Lumezzane, a small town in Lombardy, Italy, in the province of Brescia. My hometown is an industrial city, relatively famous for silverware brands you can find all around the world. That is why the first thing I do at a restaurant is to check their cutlery!

I currently live in the Los Angeles area, Hollywood, for now, working as an actor and filmmaker. After graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2022, I live in-between Italy and the US, pursuing my dream and fighting for it, little by little. Between bureaucracy and travels, I love being home in Europe, but the city of angels keeps calling me back louder and louder every time.

Q:  As a rising actor, what motivates you and inspires you to be the best at your profession and what do you love most about acting?

Giorgio Rossini – A: For me, acting is the best way to teach, and that is my main motivation to be and do more in this industry. Telling a story means teaching values, witnessing its events, inspiring others to fight for their journey, giving people hope, showing the dos and don’ts for success… Having even just one person leave the theater thinking about what they saw and being a better person from that is the most gratifying thing that makes me feel accomplished and motivated.

Q: Do you have a top 3 favorite actors, filmmakers, or directors that you want to work with in the business?

Giorgio Rossini – A:  Emma Watson, Tom Holland, Steven Spielberg. In their own way, they are more than successful stars in the industry. They are people and they get involved. They care and they have strong passions. Their work is more than a simple story, their characters are humans, and they speak to me as people I can run into in the streets, not like fictional entities from another world.

Q: What would you say is your fav genre in roles you play( Drama, Comedy, Crime, Action, a little bit of all) ?

Giorgio Rossini – A: I am a drama queen, not just for being part of the LGBTIQA+ community. I love watching and playing drama. In my humble opinion, drama is the most human-like genre, the one that portrays real life the most and, therefore, can teach and make you think. I don’t underestimate the importance of a good laugh or of a heroic quest , but crying is my type of therapy and healing. Being vulnerable makes me more human, both as the actor and the audience, and I believe it can come from a movie or a show.

Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or other secret talents you have and/or like to do in your spare time ?

Giorgio Rossini – A: I have a strong education in classical literatures: Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, and Shakespearean England are my favorite worlds. I love reading and understanding how things worked in the past, without all the technology existing today. Medieval fantasy and Ancient History movies are some of my favorites settings for a great story, usually with some action, lots of drama, and probably some romance too. Classical studies in High School, and Literary studies at University, before and while developing my acting nerdiness.

Q: What are some projects that you’ve just wrapped up recently or that you’re currently working on now?

Giorgio Rossini – A: I took part in sets on some student films for major schools in LA (UCLA, USC, LA Film School…), worked for commercials, movies, and TV series, and also had tons of fun on numerous music videos. However, recently I have been producing a lot more than acting. My first short film ever as a filmmaker is in the final stages of post-production: “Wi-Fi Date.” I wrote, produced, and acted in it with my good friend and colleague Daniela Lugo. A very colorful rom-com evolving around a series of big and small misunderstandings between the two main characters. Back home in Italy, I am executive producer of a new Web Series, “Wisdom Weapon.” An action-packed project featuring a lot of great actors and stuntmen: the main story takes place in Italy, in some of the major world-famous cities, but it will develop into an international setting, including Los Angeles, Paris, Ciudad de México and more. Lastly, I am in the early stages of my next project, which I have been thinking about for a few years and am very passionate about. It is a dramatic story revolving around social contemporary topics such as LGBTIQA+, sexual taboos, and violence in sports. I feel extremely excited to finally start actually working on this piece, and I have very high expectations and motivations. Won’t say more: Italians, we are very superstitious!

Q: What are your official social sites on the web we can follow ?

Giorgio Rossini – A: While I am working on my personal web page, Instagram is the best way to follow me day to day, and my IMDb page for a more professional look at my past and present work.
