EXCLUSIVE: Get To Know Rising Actress Alessia Falvo!

Alessia Falvo is a rising actress known for her roles in “Saint Vegas” and “Autumn Leaves.” We had the chance to do an interview with Alessia to talk about acting, her latest projects, and more! Read our exclusive Q & A with actress Alessia Falvo below!

Q: Where are you originally from and where are you based now?

Alessia Falvo – A: I am originally from Italy. I am Romana, Romana as we say! I am currently based in Rome, after being in New York for the past 3 years, where I studied and graduated at the Neighborhood Playhouse!

Q: As a rising actress in the industry, what motivates and inspires you to be the best at your profession in acting and do you have a top 3 favorite actors, filmmakers, or directors that you want to work with in the business?

Alessia Falvo – A: Acting is a profession like any other as such it requires constant training and care. Being able to be the best at my profession means to keep my instrument working physically and mentally by watching movies, reading plays, and taking classes! It’s really important for me, mostly in times of waiting for new projects or if there is nothing coming up. Keeping ourselves in the loop and inspired by something or someone, helps us to keep going.

A really tough question!! I would love to share the stage with Andrew Scott, Helena Bonham Carter, or Olivia Colman. Filmmakers? I think I would love to be directed by Alice Rohrwacher, Wes Anderson, or Yorgos Lanthimos, I am fascinated by all their styles. Stagewise by Alessandro Serra and Emma Dante.

Q:What is your favorite genre in roles you play (Drama, Comedy, Action, Thriller, a little bit of all)?

Alessia Falvo – A: I do not have a favorite one, but I am usually cast for opposites, either Comedy/Farce or very Dramatic plays/films! I would love to get involved in some Action movies or Historical ones!

Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or or other talents you have and or like to do in your spare time?

Alessia Falvo – A: I am not used to telling this to people, but I used to play violin when I was around 11 years old. I had this sudden passion for classical music, mainly Vivaldi and his Four Seasons, and so I decided to start studying it! I did it for 3 years and then quit due to many after school activities.

A big hobby of mine is art! I love to paint and also learn about it. If you want to make me happy, bring me to see an Art Gallery!! When I was in New York, I used to go so often to the Met, MoMA, or Guggenheim, I instantly felt better. As for making my own paintings, I do it for me more than show it to others. Only a few times have I given it to some friends or relatives.

Q: What are some projects that you’ve just wrapped up recently or that you’re currently working on?

Alessia Falvo -A: A couple of months ago I wrapped up two upcoming short films called “Autumn Leaves” and “Saint Vegas,” both directed and written by amazing women, Sydney Shear and Samantha Herrera. I am truly grateful that I was able to work with them and also be surrounded by incredible and very talented actors and crew. I can’t wait for you to see it, incredible stories with such contemporary themes!

I am currently in an upcoming production of Spring Awakening! This production started in New York and is now coming back to Italy. I am so thrilled, excited, and can’t wait to start!
