Sara Yigin is an actress known for SolarQuest, Rush (2024) and The Ghost Trap (2024). Sara recently gave us insider info on her latest film Rush! Read below our exclusive Q & A with Actress Sara Yigin.
Q; Where are you originally from, and where are you located now on the map?

Sara Yigin – A: I was born in Ulm, a picturesque city in Southern Germany, but my roots run deeper than just one place. My mother is Czech, and my father is Turkish, so I’ve always been part of a multicultural tapestry. I’m fortunate to have grown up in a home where different languages, foods, and traditions collided in the most beautiful way. As a former professional tennis player, I’ve lived and traveled all over the world, and spending nearly two years in Spain. But in 2024, I finally decided to go to Los Angeles to fully pursue my acting dream. The moment I stepped off the plane, I felt this sense of destiny, and even now, I still have those moments of awe where I pinch myself. The excitement, the sense of wonder—it hasn’t left me. I hope it never will.
Q: As a rising actress, what motivates you and inspires you to be the best at your profession, and what do you love most about acting?

Sara Yigin – A: Acting is like a mirror—reflecting both the world and parts of ourselves we didn’t know existed. It teaches me about human nature, vulnerability, and resilience. It’s never just about being “the best” in a competitive sense. For me, it’s about becoming the truest, most evolved version of myself, both as an artist and as a person. Every day I strive to grow, learn, and connect deeper with the craft. The journey is the reward.
I’ve always been inspired by those who seem to effortlessly embody grace and magnetism on screen—legends like Audrey Hepburn, Brigitte Bardot, Julia Roberts, and Meryl Streep. I aim to channel that same energy into my own work. My family also fuels me—though they were hesitant about my path, their unwavering support has been my anchor. I want to give back to them by showing that dreams, no matter how audacious, can become reality.
There’s a misconception that acting is a self-centered profession, but to me, it’s the ultimate act of giving. When you step into a character, you open a doorway for others to see themselves in a new light. My goal is to create work that inspires and unites people, reminding us that, at the end of the day, we all experience this beautiful, chaotic, emotional journey we call life.
Q: Do you have a top 3 favorite actors, filmmakers, or directors you would like to work with?

Sara Yigin – A: It would be a dream to work alongside Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, and Meryl Streep—three women who have redefined what it means to be timeless and magnetic on screen. But growing up with an older brother meant a steady diet of films like Rocky and Terminator, and I have immense respect for the journeys of Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Their grit, perseverance, and relentless pursuit of their dreams, despite the odds, have left a lasting impression on me.
Ultimately, I dream of being part of a project that feels like family—much like the cast of Friends. When work feels like joy and the team becomes your people, magic happens.
Q. What would you say is your favorite genre in roles you play?

Sara Yigin – A: Most people expect me to lean towards drama and romance because of my more serious exterior, but in truth, I adore romantic comedies and sitcoms. Shows like Friends and How I Met Your Mother have such a special place in my heart, and I can absolutely see myself thriving in that lighthearted, playful space. Additionally, having been a professional athlete, I also have a craving for action. There’s nothing quite like the adrenaline rush, and I’d love to explore that more on screen.
Q. Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or hidden talents you have in your spare time?

Sara Yigin – A: I used to be a professional tennis player, and while I no longer compete, the court still feels like a second home. Outside of that, I’m a creative spirit—I love to write, read, and immerse myself in anything artistic. Museums are my sanctuaries, live music makes my soul sing, and fashion is my playground. Designing my own clothing line is definitely on my horizon.
Q. What are some projects you’ve just wrapped up, or are currently working on now?

Sara Yigin – A: I recently wrapped a short film titled Rush, where I play a character caught up in a high-stakes theft operation. It’s a gripping, dramatic piece with a touch of romance, and the director was so thrilled with the outcome that he’s considering expanding the project with additional scenes. It’s exciting to think about where this story might go next.
Q. What are your official social sites where we can follow you?
