Jack Trout is an American Actor and producer with years of accredited experience in the industry and a lively personality, bringing the most energy, focus, and creativity on set. Jack has starred in commercials with celebs like John Mayer, appeared in popular TV- series including “The Offer” on Paramount Plus, and is most known for his role as Rick in the comedy-thriller feature film “Peter Five Eight,” starring two Academy Award-winning actor Kevin Spacey! Q: Where are you originally from and where are you located now on the map?
Jack Trout – A: I was born in 1967 in Portola, California. I presently live in Mount Shasta, California, where I act and I have been a fly fishing outfitter for the past 32 years.
Q: Jack, what motivates and inspires you to be the best at your profession and what do you love most about making a film?
Jack Trout – A: I just enjoy performing! Ever since I was 7 years old, one of the most memorable experiences was when Universal Studios picked me out of the audience to do a skit and the crowd applauded.
Q: Do you have a top 3 favorite actors, filmmakers, or directors you want to work with in the business?
Jack Trout – A: My favorite that I’ve worked on: Directors – Casey, Cooper Johnson, Adam Arkin and Paul Thomas Anderson.
Q: Do you have a favorite genre of roles to play?
Jack Trout – A: Roles I’d like to play: Comedy roles seem natural for me, but my gold medal role would be playing an old man fly fishing in the River Runs Through It 2. Of course I’m Brad Pitt’s character, that of course in my dreams.
Q: What are some projects that you’ve just wrapped up recently or that you’re currently working on now?
Jack Trout – A: I star as the Trippy Smiling Dude in The Lemurian Candidate (2025), a film that I am associate producer and as Rick Walkins in the movie Peter Five Eight, now in theaters. I am also in Paul Thomas Anderson’s Event Film Project Untitled (2025).
Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or other secret talents you have and or like to do in your spare time ?
Jack Trout – A: I love on my off-time to go fly fishing with my dog and float a river. I really enjoy the outdoors, and it keeps me grounded, especially when I make it back to the movie set.
