Joe Boi is an actor, writer, director, and producer in the entertainment industry. He plays the role of Danny in the latest horror flick, “Raveena’s Revenge” which is making a big impression at film festivals! Joe has won over 60+ filmmaking awards in the industry and is continuing to rise. Read below our exclusive interview with Joe Boi:
Q: Where are you originally from and where are you located now on the map?
Joe Boi – A: I was born in Staten Island, NY, raised in Ojai, CA, and now living in FL.
Q: Joe, you are a truly multi-talented actor and filmmaker! What would you say motivates you and inspires you to be the best at your profession and do you have a top 3 favorite actors or directors that you want to work with in the business?
Joe Boi – A:Thank you–it’s not really motivation, but accountability. At the same time, I’d say it’s love for art and film. I love to show the human condition in extreme circumstances. Explore how we can rise above any bad situation. Starting from the writing process, filmmaking is kind of making your own problems and figuring out ways to solve them. it’s difficult; yet exhilarating and fun. My top 3 favorite actors I want to work with are Steve Martin, Adam Sandler, and Ryan Reynolds. My top 3 favorite directors I want to work with are Steven Spielberg, James Wan, and John Carpenter.
Q: What is your fav genre in roles you play( Drama, Comedy,Action, a little bit of all) ?
Joe Boi – A:Comedy will always be my favorite to act in, then Horror, Action, Fantasy, and Sci-Fi. So yeah, a little bit of everything.
Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or other secret talents you have and or like to do in your spare time?
Joe Boi – A: I used to be a caregiver for my father who unfortunately passed away in April 2020 from severe dementia. I worked through that trauma by writing it out in a script called Static. My hobbies include reading a variety of books from horror to fantasy to comic books, video games, and playing guitar.
Q: What are some projects that you’ve just wrapped up recently or that you’re currently working on now?
Joe Boi – A:I just finished writing a script called Code Blue, and currently have 2 writing assignments, but can’t talk about them because of those pesky NDA thingys, lol.
