EXCLUSIVE: GET TO KNOW RISING STAR AMERICAN ACTOR JOHN HICKMAN!

John Hickman is a rising star American Actor primarily known for his roles in the films ‘The Vanished’, ‘Becky’, ‘My Best Friend’s Christmas’ and the popular TV-Series ‘The Vampire Diaries’ as the role of Mr. Fell. John has worked with some of Hollywood’s hottest celebs including Bruce Wills and Al Pacino! Read below our exclusive interview with Actor John Hickman:

Q: Where are you originally from and where are you located now on the map?

John Hickman – A: I was born and reside in Tuscaloosa , Alabama . I was in the process of getting a place in Miami full time then Covid happened.

Q: As a professional actor, what motivates you and inspires you to be the best at your profession and do you have a top 3 favorite actors, filmmakers or directors that you have on your top list to work with in the industry?

John Hickman- A: It all depends on who I am working with . If I am working with an actor that is great, like Ed Harris or Al Pacino, then my performance will be top notch . It seems like I don’t do as well if the other actor is so-so. I also love working with my hero Bruce Willis . We have done 4 so far . I would love to work with more comedians like Nikki Glaser or Earthquake. As far as directors, I loved working with Peter Facinelli. He is an actor’s director. Jon Keeyes is really talented as well .

Q: What would you say is your fav genre in roles you play( Drama, Comedy,Action, a little bit of all) ?

John Hickman- A: Comedy and action roles are my favorite. I started doing a lot of my own stunts at age 44 . I have a new respect for stunt guys .

Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or other secret talents you have and or like to do in your spare time aside from acting ?

John Hickman- A:When I am not acting I can usually be found at home working on various projects . I spend time with my 2-year-old Goldendoodle Leia . I just finished a term for the SAG Awards nomination committee where I had to review a long list of movies and send my recommendations. I am also involved with the Founder program with the University of Alabama Athletics . I have scholarships that are awarded each year to student athletes.

Q: What are some projects that you’ve just wrapped up recently or that you’re currently working on now?

John Hickman- A: 2021 I shot 6 films that will be out this year . I worked with Bruce Willis on 3 films of the 6 . I have started 3 projects that cover March -May . I’m also writing a book that I hope to be ready for print by June 1, 2022. I will be reprising my role as the Sheriff in the Becky Sequel.
