Q: Where are you originally from and where are you based now?
Xander Grohs- A: I am originally from Spartanburg, South Carolina. I travel a lot for projects and so I rarely stay in one location long enough to call it home these days (frequenting the east coast, New York, Charlotte, and Georgia most often).
Q: As a rising actor, what motivates and inspires you to be the best at your profession in acting and do you have a top 3 favorite actors, filmmakers, or directors that you want to work with in the business?
Xander Grohs- A: As a rising actor, I am constantly inspired by others’ works and their ability to really delve into the psyche of their characters. It motivates me to put my all into my acting and explore who my character is beyond just the script.
My top three favorite actors that I’d love to work with one day would be Jim Carrey, Johnny Depp, and Helena Bonham Carter. My favorite director would absolutely be Tim Burton.
Q:What is your favorite genre in roles you play (Drama, Comedy, Action, Thriller, a little bit of all)?
Xander Grohs- A: I’ve only really had the opportunity to play darker, more dramatic, or thrilling roles. I’m really hoping that I can get into some comedy because that’s always been my dream and reflects my true personality.
Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or or other talents you have and or like to do in your spare time?
Xander Grohs- A: I dabble in a few hobbies, but writing poetry and short stories are what I really love to do. I also sing and have been a part of a few ensembles throughout my life. I can also do a mean underwater handstand.
Q: What are some projects that you’ve just wrapped up recently or that you’re currently working on?
Xander Grohs- A: I am in a film coming out in June called ‘The Little Box of Hope’ along with some smaller appearances this year and have some larger roles in the works coming out next year (2025). I have also started working on some music that I plan to release in the fall of this year.
