Ahri Banks is a professional young singer taking on the music industry with her drive and talent. Ahri’s has 2 music singles out now and planning on making new music and major career moves in 2022. Read our exclusive interview below with Singer Ahri Banks:
Q: Where are you originally from and where are you located now ?
Ahri Banks – A:I am was born and raised on the north side of Chicago but my family originated from the Caribbean i.e. Belize and Jamaica. I currently reside in Chicago.
Q: Ahri, you are a talented young singer with an amazing voice! What is your favorite part of performing and who have been some of your musical aspirations growing up?
Ahri Banks – A: I love seeing the whole show come together, from the creative process, the planning, practicing, and the performance. I’ve taken great pleasure in the journey even though it can be a bumpy ride to get to the end, it’s all worth it. The feeling I get when I perform and my accomplishments gives me a feeling of overwhelming joy.
Some of my musical aspirations growing up were Whitney Houston, Aaliyah, Beyoncé, Bob Marley, and Prince just to name a few.
Q: Do you have any new or recently finished projects you can share with us?
Ahri Banks – A: In the summer of 2020 I released two singles “Set Me Free” and “Insecurities” which can be found on all music platforms. I spent 2021 planning out my career while working on a new sound for my music, which I feel my fans will really enjoy. I will be releasing new music in the first quarter of 2022, so be on the look out.
Q: When you’re not in the recording studio or in concerts , what hobbies or other secret talents do you have and or like to do in your spare time?
Ahri Banks – A:Traveling the world is my favorite hobby. I’ve been to many countries including Argentina, Japan, countries in the Caribbean and Nigeria which I visited in December 2021. Learning about different cultures is a humbling experience.
Secret talents that I have include dance, modeling, and acting. My minor in college was dance where I learned ballet, jazz, and Spanish dances such traditional folk dance and flamenco from Spain. I also went to John Casablanca where I was certified for acting and modeling.
