Rising Star Exclusive: Get To Know Actress Ashley Dacek!

Ashley Dacek is a rising star actress known for her roles in “Leviticus”, ” The Simple Path” and “A Man Called Otto”. Ashley has confirmed some exiting film projects she will be starring in! Read our exclusive interview below with Ashley Dacek:

Q: Where are you originally from and where are you based now?

Ashley Dacek – A: I currently live in Cleveland, Ohio.

Q: Ashley, as a rising star talent what motivates you and inspires you to be the best at your profession in acting and do you have a top 3 favorite actors, filmmakers or directors that you want to work with in the business?

Ashley Dacek – A: Like some actors, acting has been a dream of mine since I was little. As my acting career progresses, I learn more about the business as well as network with people. For motivation, it’s always about taking risks whether you’ll get the role or not. I always tell myself after an audition, “You gave it your best shot”. I used to be a shy person, but when I took acting courses during my high school and college years, which helped me overcome it. I feel free to be myself when playing certain roles that relate to my personality and tell stories through the characters. Passion is my inspiration.

It’s really hard to choose which directors I would like to work with because they’re all legendary in their craft. Though I would like to work with the Russo brothers. I have a couple of actors I would like to work such as Natalie Portman, Orlando Bloom, Viggo Mortensen, Keira Knightley, Robert Downey Jr. and Jason Statham.

Q:What would you say is your fav genre in roles you play (Drama, Comedy, Action, Thriller, a little bit of all)?

Ashley Dacek – A: I would say between Action and Drama. I would love to be in a fantasy film as it’s my favorite movie genre. I wouldn’t mind doing a Rom-Com one day.

Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or other secret talents you have and or like to do in your spare time?

Ashley Dacek – A: I’m the youngest of four children and I have a twin sister. We’re identical twins and have attended the Twins Day Festival in Twinsburg, Ohio. I have double bachelor’s degrees in History and Classical/Medieval studies. I like to travel when I have time, as well as spend time in nature. I had some experience with archery since I was a teen. Also, I’ve written a few scripts, which include an action movie trilogy and a musical. The musical script was entered in a few competitions and it was one of the semi-finalists during the 2020-2021 season.

Q: What are some projects that you’ve just wrapped up recently or that you’re currently working on now?

Ashley Dacek – A: Last year, I worked on a few short films. This year, I’ll be co-starring in a local feature film that will start production in the spring.
