Q: Where are you originally from and where are you located now on the map?
Johanna Rose Cabildo -A: Thanks to the pandemic, I am currently residing back in Canada. I was born and raised in Toronto, but for the past few years, I have been recognized as a globetrotter. I did not travel much as a kid, but to this day I’ve had the luxury of traveling around the world multiple times and living in the United States and Caribbean.
Q: Johanna, you are a fashion model attracting & inspiring every day everyone who sees your work, what would you say motivates you and inspires you to be the best at your profession?
Johanna Rose Cabildo -A: I am in constant competition with myself. I love to look at my old work for motivation because it reminds me of where I started and it encourages me to constantly improve my skills. There is an endless surplus of beautiful, talented women- and the only way to stand out is to work harder.
Q: Who are your top 3 fav fashion designers that you want to work with in the future?
Johanna Rose Cabildo -A: I honestly don’t have a top 3. There are so many designers that I would love to work with. Off the top of my head, in the future, I’d love to work with fashion designers like Jean Paul Gaultier, Elie Saab, and Nensi Dojaka.
Q: Can you share with us what you do to always keep in shape and stay fit?
Johanna Rose Cabildo -A: Burpees are my workout go-to for every day maintenance. It’s an amazing full-body workout for people that don’t really like to work out. As an avid traveler, I personally prefer to workout using my own body weight instead of gym equipment. At the end of the day, I never want to have the excuse of “not having access” to a gym. My best advice is to do your best and sneak in a quick workout whenever you can (even if you don’t have enough time to break a sweat). As for food, I genuinely love to eat healthy as much as I enjoy the junk. I try my best to balance out my diet instead of restricting my calories. Salads with vinaigrette-based dressing usually kill any chip cravings and a good smoothie or yogurt can make me forget about ice-cream. If I give into cravings and cheat, I try to make up for it by adding extra workouts.
Q: Can you tell us something people may not know about you? Do you have any secret talents or hobbies you enjoy when you’re not shooting ?
Johanna Rose Cabildo -A: Something that many people may not know about me is that I absolutely adore nature and being outdoors. As much as I love the city, I love activities like: camping, kayaking, hiking, and planting trees. When I’m not shooting, I’m usually focusing on trading. I’ve been a Cryptocurrency Investor since the beginning of 2017. In addition to being a trader, I am an Emerging Technology enthusiast. In my spare time I love finding new projects that focus on subjects like AI, Blockchain, AR, VR, ML, CyberSecurity and DeFi.
Q: What are some projects you’ve just wrapped up or that you’re currently working on now?
Johanna Rose Cabildo -A: The month of March marks the official 1-year anniversary of my Global Female Empowerment Project, “She Wants To Move.” Last year, I curated a print publication featuring 186 talented female role models of all ages who represent a wide range of different industries. The book showcases motivating success stories, relatable setbacks, and wisdom to encourage and inspire other women globally. The initiative was dedicated to empowering women to make progress mentally, financially, spiritually and emotionally. Thanks to this project, I had the pleasure of working with women ranging from CEO’s of Fortune 500 companies, Olympic Gold Medalists, Grammy Award-Winning Producers, Sustainable Fashion Designers, Femme In STEM, women in the Cannabis Industry such as ICBWA, entertainment personalities, models, women from the LGBTQ community and many more!As of now, I am currently working on launching a collection of NFTs (Non-fungible tokens).
