Check out our exclusive interview with Brad Perrott below:

Q: Where are your originally from and where are you based now?

bradley perrott

B.P – A:  Southeast PA all my life.  Downingtown High School class of ’96 and I haven’t wandered too far.

Q:  Brad, you are an actor and a writer known for your work in the films ‘ Gone for the weekend’, ‘ Copycat Killers’ and ‘For My Man’ . Who are your top 3 fav people in the industry you admire and that you want to work with with in the future ?

bradley perrott

B.P – A:  Well Troy Burbank is the guy that gave me the co-lead in my first feature film ‘Gone for the Weekend’ <on Amazon Prime Video>, so he’s got a lifetime of my loyalty for sure.  I also met Greg Garaizar who helped out behind the scenes, and we have since collaborated on my adapted screenplay ‘A Warm Place in the Sun,’ which with his help has done extremely well in the screenplay festival circuit.  So far, 5 wins!

Q: What do you love most about film making and what would you say motivates you and inspires you to be the best at your profession?

B.P – A:  Well if it’s what you do, you have to take personal pride in it, no matter what it is.  Whether it be an audition, a gig or an awards ceremony, I am a representative of my own brand, not the project.  I will never be outworked by another actor.  The only thing that motivates me is myself, and the only person’s approval I seek is that of my own.

My inspiration is I can’t fail.  I don’t know where my life goes if I do.  The thing I love most about this epic journey is I am never satisfied.  It sounds like a bad thing, but it’s what I like most about myself.  I’m accomplishing things that not long ago were beyond my wildest dreams, and when I finally do, I just keep moving the goalposts to see how far I can really take it.  I bet everything on myself to win, and that’s how I live every single day.

Q: As a professional actor, what kind of roles do you usually go for ( drama, comedy, crime, a little bit of all)?

B.P – A:  Well I’ve gotten the most roles in law enforcement.  I’ve been told my many I have the cop look.  That was my 1st mainstream TV role Copycat Killers, and I’ve done 3 more Investigation Discovery shows all with cop roles.  I really enjoy the spokesman teleprompter work I get because it merges well with my sales background.  I’ve done quite a lot, and I definitely want to do everything there is to do in TV/film.  There’s nothing I can’t do, and no one has proven me wrong.

Q: Do you have any exciting new or finished projects you can share with us?

bradley perrott

B.P – A:    You betcha!  My adapted screenplay ‘A Warm Place in the Sun’ is really outperforming even my loftiest expectations.  By the time you publish this article, this information might be outdated, but as of right now 5 screenplay competition wins, headlined by Florence Film Awards (July 2020) & Los Angeles Motion Picture Festival (3rd quarter 2020).  There’s also 4 more finalists & 4 more regular selections.  It was quite a process, and I’m so happy the editing & coverage phase is behind me!  I’m in the query letter/elevator pitch phase now.  I’m getting requests for reads now, but I haven’t had my 1st meeting yet.  I look forward to that and I look forward to watching my 98 white pages with a bunch of black letters become a modern day feature film!  And you’ll never guess who I have in mind for the lead role!!?!

Q: Can you tell us something we may not know about you? Any hobbies or other secret talents you have and or like to do in your spare time ?

bradley perrott

B.P – A:    I’m a hobbyist video editor.  One thing led to another, I just wanted the firsthand point of view of a cinematographer & editor to give me more of a perspective as an actor.  But now I got all the equipment and turned it into quite a fulfilling hobby.  I have a mighty & courageous 15-pound yorkie-poo named Sonny who is about to turn 10!  I’m also a lifelong salesman, mostly metals, and also answered inbound sales calls a while for a popular tv/phone/internet provider.  I had a bit of a body transformation, 75 pounds worth.  It’s an everyday battle, as is my acting/screenplay writing career.  My transformation emboldened me to try the most difficult thing I could think possibly attainable.  But then I immediately realized there’s absolutely positively zero chance I’d ever understand women, so I went with acting!!

Q: What are your official sites on the web we can follow?

B.P – A:    Twitter and my imdb is all I care about promoting professionally.  Facebook is a friends/family kinda deal, and my YouTube channel is for my acting resume links and hobby videos.  But you can definitely list my actor’s reel!  This won the best actor’s reel in the Los Angeles Motion Picture Festival (3rd quarter 2020).  This is definitely among my top achievements, because I see it as not only as an award as an actor, but as a video editor as well:  https://youtu.be/wTOfA-UpIGk
