Michelle Candela has 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry working on memorable famed TV- Show productions for Nickelodeon and also acting in the popular TV-Show like The Sopranos! Michelle is passionate for the arts, is a comedic actress and has some great projects in the works! Read below our exclusive interview with Michelle Candela:
Q: Where are you originally from and where are you located now on the map?
Michelle Candela – A: I was born in Philadelphia, PA, and raised in Walla Walla, Washington. I am bicoastal. I live primarily in New York, but I also spend time in Los Angeles.
Q: Michelle, you are an actress with some amazing history in the film industry working on popular TV Productions like Hey Arnold, Rugrats, Doug and you have also acted in some of the hottest TV Series like the Sopranos ! What would you say motivates you and inspires you to be the best in your profession?
Michelle Candela – A: I loved working on the Nickelodeon Shows and The Sopranos. They were so much fun with so many amazing, talented people. To be the best is to learn your craft, love what you’re doing, allow mistakes so you can grow, watch actors and movies and tv shows you love.
Q: Do you have a selection of top 3 favorite actors, filmmakers or directors that you admire and want to work with in the business?
Michelle Candela – A: My top 3 favorite actors are Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, and Kate Winslet. My favorite directors, I would love to work with are P.T. Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, and Peter Greenaway.
Q: Do you have a favorite genre of films when it comes to the roles you’d most like to book ( Drama, Comedy , Action, a little bit of all) and is there something you’d like to expand upon?
Michelle Candela – A:I adore all 3 topics and totally open to any project. But I also want to work on Arthouse, Independent, and Foreign Films as well.
Q: Share with us something people may not know about you . What hobbies or other secret talents you have and or like to do in your spare time aside from filmmaking?
Michelle Candela – A: I love to advocate for the LGBTQIA and especially my community, The Transgender Community. It’s important we strive and share our stories with the world, and we want Hollywood to notice us more.
Q: Can you share with us any projects you have it the works or that you’ve wrapped up?
Michelle Candela – A: I created a sitcom called ‘Nicolette And Her Sister” about a transwoman and her younger cisgender sister living together and getting into so many wacky situations. It’s in the vein of “Sanford and Son” & “The Odd Couple”. I am also in the works for an untitled Independent Film.
