EXCLUSIVE: GETTING TO KNOW AWARD-WINNING ACTRESS, PRODUCER & CO-FOUNDER OF SHORTCUT2HOLLYWOOD – YENIFFER BEHRENS

Yeniffer Behrens is an award-winning actress, director, producer, and writer. Yeniffer made her debut role by starring in Sylvester Stallone’s blockbuster “The Specialist”, and continued to make her mark in the industry by starring in top network TV shows and films with some of Hollywood’s most well-known actors. Read our exclusive interview below with Yeniffer Behrens:

Q: Where are you originally from?

Yeniffer Behrens- A: I am originally from Caracas, Venezuela. I was raised in D.C. and Miami. I currently live in Los Angeles with my family.

Q: Yeniffer, you are known for your roles in ‘The Way Back’ starring Ben Affleck, ‘The Specialist’, and Mi Amor! What would you say motivates you and inspires you to be the best at your profession and do you have a top 3 favorite actors, filmmakers or directors that you want to work with in the business?

Yeniffer Behrens- A: I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, raised in D.C. & Miami. Proud alumni of La Salle Immaculata Catholic High School in Coconut Grove, Fl.

I knew I wanted to be an actress since I was like 5 years old. I loved watching Wonder Woman, The Brady Bunch and Grease on TV. I fell in love with Danny & Sandy…the way they flew away in the car at the end of the film was so magical to me!

I literally learned all the songs and dances from the film. I remember having a small black and white record player all to myself for my collection of records, GREASE & SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER…I also had a BEE GEES lunch box! Fast forwarding 20 years, I remember when I first moved to Hollywood. I had the pleasure of meeting John Travolta and I instantly digressed into the little girl with goo goo eyes and said “YOU HAVE BEEN MY BOYFRIEND SINCE I WAS 6 YEARS OLD!”

To my surprise, he sweetly laughed with a gleam in his eyes and hugged me like he knew me all his life and said Awww…THANK YOU!

That moment is one of the most magical, surreal moments I have had in Hollywood. It would be a dream come true to share the screen with master John Travolta. So to answer your question, these childhood memories are very much alive in me and have motivated me throughout my career. I would love to work with John Travolta, Julia Roberts, Penelope Cruz, Johnny Depp & Manuel-Lin Miranda to name a few. The directors would be Steven Spielberg, Ava Duvernay & Gullermo del Toro… I love how Phyllida Lloyd directed Mamma Mia, one of my favorite musical films!

Q: What is one of your most memorable moments in the industry?

Yeniffer Behrens- A: I love Rom-Coms, especially musicals like LALA LAND & MAMMA MIA. I guess because I wish I could sing! I can dance and carry a tune, but I have always wished I could belt a song! I love family dramas and comedies…character driven stories that transform the audience!

Q: What are some projects that you’ve just wrapped up recently or that you’re currently working on now?

Yeniffer Behrens- A:

We just wrapped a feature film shot in Mexico Final Vow directed Ruben Islas, we served as producers and actors.

I am excited to be directing and co-starring in my biopic Her Choices, a coming-of-age story based on my young life. It’s a story that has lived in me for over 20 years. God’s timing is perfect…principal photography starts March 2023

I just finished filming a short film called “Mi Amor”, based on a story inspired by First Love, Lost Love and Forever Love.

Everything I have written thus far is inspired by true events that I overcame as a young girl. The choices I made for better or worse in my 20’s… I have learned that all of it is meant for growth and healing.

“Mi Amor” started as an idea with one of my best friends, to create a platform for our kids to star in. To play non-stereotypes and experience what it truly means to Greenlight yourself as an Actorprenuer.

To take initiative in creating your own opportunities and not wait for anyone to give you permission to do what you love. This family love story is universal because we all have a first love, a lost love and as a mom, a forever love.

Q: How would you explain your year so far in one word?

Yeniffer Behrens- A: MASSIVE!

As the CEO and Co-owner of True Form Films Inc and Shortcut2Hollywood, how has that experience been like and can you share us some more info?

Yeniffer Behrens- A: I’m very proud of our acting school SHORTCUT2HOLLYWOOD , where my husband/partner, Mauricio Mendoza and I take aspiring actors/filmmakers to become working in the industry. We teach in a holistic way, we encourage actors to Greenlight themselves and their acting careers!

Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or other secret talents you have and or like to do in your spare time?

Yeniffer Behrens- A:I love to travel! I love Spiritual and Mindset work… I Iove nature walks and hikes, my most memorable one was in the Himalayan mountains in Nepal.
