Q: Where are you originally from and where are you located now on the map?
Skylar Lear -A: I was born in Louisville, KY and grew up in Radcliff/Elizabethtown, Kentucky. I presently live in Louisville, Kentucky and spend most of my time traveling.
Q Skylar, you are a professional actor, producer, model, bodybuilder and you are known for roles in films Death House(2017), Garlic & Gunpowder(2017) and Stan the Man(2020), Camp Twilight (2020), and Killer Rose (2021) BigFoot Documentary (2021) What motivates you and inspires you to be the best at your profession and do you have a top 3 favorite actors, filmmakers or directors that you want to work within the business?
Skylar Lear -A: I think what really motivates me is a constant desire for self improvement. In order to become a more complete well rounded individual you have to push yourself outside your comfort zone and continuously set and achieve goals to challenge your abilities. There are so many incredible actors, filmmakers and directors in the business it’s difficult to narrow it down to just 3. It would be incredible to meet/work with Adam Sandler. Not only is he an amazing actor but he has produced, written, and acted in several movies such as “waterboy” and “Big Daddy”. I grew up watching “Billy Madison” and “Happy Gilmore” so working with him would be a childhood dream. Quentin Tarantino would be another amazing filmmaker to work with. The intense dialogue sequences and his amazing ability to portray so much emotion and feeling in his movies. My favorite actors include Leonardo DiCaprio, Mathew McConaughey, Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, and Denzel Washington. All of these actors possess a certain skill set and ability to transform into a different character and completely captivate an audience with their diverse range of emotion and abilities.
Q: As an actor what is your fav genre in roles you play( Drama, Comedy, Crime, Action, a little bit of all) and what do you want to expand upon?
Skylar Lear -A: I enjoy all genres but my favorite is definitely Comedy. The energy on set is just different, everyone is uplifted and your goal is to get people to laugh and feel good. What’s more fun than that? I would love to expand more into this field.
Q: What are some projects that you’ve just wrapped up recently or that you’re currently working on now?
Skylar Lear –A: Recently we just finished up a couple music videos with local artists. Working on new films and possible RV shows.
Q: Skylar, you are known as a ‘serial entrepreneur’ founding and owning many companies such as Emagine products USA LLC, Louisville Software Developers, TLSL capital investment firm, and Argan Man brand. All of these are big achievements! What moved you to starting so many successful companies ?
Skylar Lear -A: Being a model and actor as well as a physical athlete I’ve seen that I need to capitalize on my strengths and how to make my passions and career goals align. Also being able to leave behind a legacy doing something you love while making a difference in the lives of others.
Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or other secret talents you have and or like to do in your spare time aside from acting?
Skylar Lear -A: Love Traveling and being outdoors, love hiking, boating, jet skis, surfing… camping and going to festivals is another fun thing I like to do. I also try to give back when we host events and donate to the Make A Wish Foundation and other children’s hospitals.
