Q & A with Actor Tripp Bryant

Q: Where are you originally from and where are you based now?

Tripp Bryant – A: As we speak, I’m in North Carolina.

Q: As a rising actor, what motivates and inspires you to be the best at your profession in acting?

Tripp Bryant – A: What motivates me is my personality. I like the fact that I have a personality that naturally draws friends to me without trying and I like for everyone to see that personality.

Q: What do you love most about film?

Tripp Bryant – A: Oh, wow. The thing I love most about film is showing everyone my acting ability. Showing what I can feel through the character that I am portraying. Once you show everyone how that character is and how that character feels, then everyone can see what that character is about. That’s what I like about film the most, because you can always interact in many ways with each role.

Q:  Do you have a top 3 favorite actors, filmmakers, or directors that you want to work with in the business?

Tripp Bryant – A: I don’t have a top 3, but I can say that I’ve enjoyed working with a few, and a few that I’ve worked with are on sets, including “Fatal Attraction” and a Union New York film called “Only Good Feelings,” I starred in. “Fatal Attraction” was a non union film that I did, and “Only Good Feelings” was my first union film, so I would have to say that I really enjoyed acting on both of those sets because it was my very first experience with non-union and my first experience with SAG.

Q:What is your favorite genre in roles you play (Drama, Comedy, Action, Thriller, a little bit of all)?

Tripp Bryant – A: Comedy is my favorite! I love comedy and it’s my specialty!  I also love action because you can see the expression on an actor’s face before it happens. I was told by other actors and actresses that when they see my auditions, I remind them a lot of the great Charlie Chaplin from the expression of my face in my roles, and I love that.

Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or or other talents you have and or like to do in your spare time?

Tripp Bryant and Wrestler Tony Atlas

Tripp Bryant – A: Secret talent, yes, I do! You cannot necessarily say its secret and its pro wrestling. I love pro wrestling. I started pro wrestling in the 90’s. Back in 95,  I met a guy named Mike Kavanaugh, also known as “The Mighty Atar,”  who was affiliated with the WWF/WWE at the time. Mike and I became friends, and he introduced wrestling to me. When I was a kid I watched wrestling every Saturday morning, but I never thought of becoming a pro wrestler until I met him, and I can say he sort of talked me into it, and as soon as he started training me and it became my next family. Once I got involved with it, it went from there on, and I’ve been doing pro wrestling since the 90’s, although way into the early 2000’s.

Q: What are some projects that you’ve just wrapped up recently or that you’re currently working on?

Tripp Bryant – A: I was working on a comedy production during the pandemic, and the pandemic was a horrible time in our lives, so I decided I wanted to put a comedy skit together. It was an excellent comedy, everyone who saw it loved it. So I was thinking about putting another one together pretty soon, and that’s what I’m doing as we speak.
