T.C- A:  I am originally from Chicago, Illinois and my brothers and I were raised by a single beautiful parent a.k.a my mother.  Most of the time we did not have it easy and we had to live off of welfare and food stamps.  We were even homeless a few times due to a house fire.  As a result of the house fire, one of my youngest siblings who is only two-years-old died from smoke in his lungs.  Years later my mother, my siblings, and I ran to way from the abusive father a.k.a the Devil.  Fast forward in my life I graduated from Benton Harbor High School with high honors and along with receiving tons of scholarships such as the Gates Millennium Scholarship, Horatio Alger Association Scholarship, Burger King Scholarship, Rosa Parks Foundation Scholarship, etc.  I even graduated with a 3.8 GPA that sled me into the top 10 of my class.
In 2010 I graduated from the Art Institute of California – Los Angeles with high honors and along with receiving my Bachelor of Science in Game Art & Design.  Later on, I end up working for some of the biggest gaming and entertainment companies in the world such as Disney Interactive, QUALCOMM, Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, 9K9 Interactive, Rareform Pictures, Razor Edge Games, Pantera Entertainment, Jastec, Storymind Entertainment (Kyiv, Ukraine), etc. Now I’m an award-winning  American Entertainer / Actor / Executive Producer / Writer / Director and is famously known for my work on Homeless Sam & Sally (2019), Homeless Sam & Sally – The Movie (2020), Reverie (2018), Netflix’s Velvet Buzzsaw (2019), Netflix’s Magic for Humans (2020), LIFETIME’S Seatbelt Psychic, E! Entertainment’s Dating #NoFilter (2019), BET’s Running Out of Time, AXS TV’s Women of Wrestling (2019), MTV’s Flex on My Ex (2019), FOX’s Phone Swap (2018), Awesomeness TV’s Tri Me (2019) with Rickey Thompson, Face The Truth (2018) with Vivica A. Fox, and so much more. Currently reside in California, Los Angeles (Koreatown – Neighborhood in LA) while enjoying filmmaking and taking on acting roles.

Q:  Tyrone, you’re an actor, director, writer, and executive producer working with some of the top generation production companies like Netflix. Who are your top 3 fav people in the industry you admire and that you want to work with with in the future ?

Magic for Humans (2020) NETFLIX

A: “First of all I want to thank Netflix again for allowing me to be on their platform for numerous projects. It was such an honor.”

Quentin Tarantino is such an amazing filmmaker and Actor.  I love all of his films such as  Pulp Fiction (1994), Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood (2019)Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003), etc. I want to work with Quentin because he has a dark twisted/comical side like me. For example in Pulp Fiction’s A Shot of Adrenaline Scene is so funny and disturbing. John Travolta (Vincent) is on the edge and getting guidance from a young man before puncturing Uma Thurman’s (Mia) breastplate with a gigantic needle.  This shows me that Mr. Tarantino isn’t afraid to think beyond the box and along with pulling off a few laughs in the process of it. I can really see myself going to the bar with him and talking about movie ideas. Tyler Perry is known for his Madea Movies / TV Shows: Diary of a Mad Black Woman (2005). Madea’s Family Reunion (2006), Meet the Browns (cameo)(2008). Madea Goes to Jail (2009). I Can Do Bad All by Myself (2009). Madea’s Big Happy Family (2011). Madea’s Witness Protection (2012), A Madea Christmas (2013), etc. I would love to work with Tyler because he comes from humble beginnings like myself. We both have been homeless numerous times throughout our life. He even makes his films from inner emotions and past experiences dealing with interesting family members. He is somewhat similar to Quentin, but he comes from a more of a spiritual approach since he is a Christian. He has darkness and comedy in his tv shows/movies. For example, in the Diary of a Mad Black Woman, the main character is treated horribly by her ex-husband and later on takes revenge in her own hands. I’m always a sucker for revenge and of course comedy material. I hope one day to be in one of his films or to be able to make a movie with him. Hopefully soon, a brother can only hope. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
Seth MacFarlane is incredible! Everyone knows him for his cartoon franchises Family Guy (Since 1999), American Dad! (Since 2005) The Orville (Since 2017), The Cleveland Show (2009-2013), Ted (2012), Ted 2 (2015), etc. It would be a super honor to work with Seth sometime soon in the future. His characters remind me of people in my family, kind of similar to Tyler Perry’s franchise. Seth’s popular character “Stewie Griffin” (Family Guy) is very similar to my character “Sam” (role played by me) from “Homeless Sam & Sally – The Movie” because both characters are unpredictable and funny as hell. You just don’t know what to expect. One day I would want to make a cartoon series with him one day or just be a voice actor for one of his characters.I have total respect for all of these guys and again hopefully I will be able to work with all of them one day, but if it is just one of them… I will be okay with that too.

Q: What do you love most about film making and what would you say motivates you and inspires you to be the best at your profession?

Tyrone Evans Clark

T.C- A: The main components that I love about filmmaking is the fact that I can combine so many mediums together such as music, digital art, and theatrics into a cinematic masterpiece.  On top of that, I am able to express myself and get my message to the masses.  For example, in “Homeless Sam & Sally – The Movie” I was able to share my life during a time of battling with homelessness.  In this film, I play as the character “Sam” who goes cuckoo for cocoa puffs because his mother “Sally” couldn’t keep up with the rent.

In this film, I play as the character “Sam” who goes cuckoo for cocoa puffs because his mother “Sally” couldn’t keep up with the rent. What motivates and inspires me to do good at my profession is my real-life experiences and being honored for my achievements.  So far the film “Homeless Sam & Sally – The Movie” that I produced, directed, acted in, written for has received numerous awards.
The awards that  “Homeless Sam & Sally – The Movie” has won is the September 2020 Best Comedy of Toronto Film Magazine Fest (Toronto Film Magazine Winner), July 2020 Finalist of Independent Shorts Awards (Certificate of Achievement), August 2020 Semi-Finalist of IndieX Film Festival (Certificate of Achievement), August 2020 Honorable Mention: Best Comedy of Kosice International Monthly Film Festival (KIMFF), August 2020 Best Feature of Hollywood Blood Horror Festival, being nominated The Monkey Bread Tree Film Awards’ Best Genre (Spring 2020), August 2020 Honorable Mention: Feature Film / Best Comedy of Prague International Film Festival (PIMFF), September 2020 Semi-Finalist of Indie Short Fest Award (Certificate of Achievement),  August 2020 Best Feature Comedy of Cyrus International Monthly Festival of Toronto, and been selected by prestigious film festivals. I even received the Best Supporting Actor Award (August 2020) from Hollywood Blood Horror Festival. I also just found out that I have been awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award (“Homeless Sam & Sally – The Movie”) for Best Actor, Feature Film, and Cult Film / Underground Film / Exploitation Movie / Midnight Film / Para Cinema from the Cult Critic Movie Awards. I was Nominated at the Alternative Film Festival (AltFF) Best Actor and Best Writer for the Fall Award. Couch Film Festival honored me as the Winner for Best Director and Nominated me for Best Long Short Film. I’m also honored to be August 2020 Best Actor, Best Director, and Narrative Feature of Druk International Film Festival (DIFF). Homeless Sam & Sally – The Movie even made it into the Festigious Los Angeles – Monthly Film Competition as a Semi-Finalist.

I like to win and be honored for the hard work that I put my soul into, but at the end of the day, It’s not always about the honors/awards. The most important thing for me to do is to spread my messages to the world through my interactive/digital media. I love doing this so much! Food for thought, My trials, and tribulations from just living is the main key to me for being the best of the best in my field.

Q: As a professional actor, what kind of roles do you usually go for ( drama, comedy, crime, a little bit of all)?

Tyrone Evans Clark
FACE THE TRUTH – NBC

T.C- A:  I do a little bit of everything from drama, comedy, horror,  science fiction/sci-fi, gore, action, etc. One of my favorite roles is when I was one of the  Underground Artist for Velvet Buzzsaw (2019). On-set I was able to get tons of SAG Vouchers and meet Jake Gyllenhaal. I was even  able to meet his lead acting counterpart Zawe Ashton.  Zawe kept watching me with her beautiful eyes throughout the whole entire day.  Don’t know what that mean but I was so honored to have something so beautiful looking at me all day while doing the scenes for the movie.  She probably was mesmerized by my big fluffy Afro puff hairstyle. One of the reality shows I’ve done on FOX titled Phone Swap made me get goosebumps because I had to share my phone while dating with random strangers.  My phone is my privacy and I don’t just give away my text messages to people I don’t know.  But at the end of the day, it was very fun to be part of it.  I even got a lot of TV exposure from it that allowed me to get a role on E! Entertainment’s Dating #NoFilter.

Overall, I’ve done a little bit of everything when it comes down to genres and I just love what I do.

Q: Do you have any exciting new or finished projects you can share with us?

“Homeless Sam and Sally – The Movie” is a new campy feature about a mother (Margaret Newborn) and her son (Tyrone Evans Clark) who battle homelessness with laughter and being silly.

T.C- A: Yes; I do! “Homeless Sam & Sally – The Movie”  is doing really well at the film festivals. Again it has won numerous awards from all over the world.  On top of that because I have a technical/gaming developer background I wanted to eventually turn “Homeless Sam & Sally” into a Virtual Reality Game for everyone to enjoy.  This feature should be available 100% to purchase/rent online through a lot of VOD platforms hopefully sometime mid-year after all of the festivals’ seasons have ended.  Also, I have a few science fictions, fantasy, and horror action young adult novels that will be coming out soon. These books  Will be available on just about every digital platform such as Amazon Prime Books, Barnes & Noble, etc.  So please keep your eyes open because there will be more coming from the superstar Tyrone Evans Clark?

Q: Can you tell us something we may not know about you? Any hobbies or other secret talents you have and or like to do in your spare time ?

T.C- A: Some things that people don’t know about me is the fact that I’m also a 3-D Digital Game Artist / CGI Artist / Game Programmer who has worked on some of the biggest games / TV Shows in the world. On NBC’s TV Series Reverie (2018-)  I created a lot of CGI and VFX (s) for episodes throughout the season.I was a 3-D artist for THQ’s WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2010  where I worked on the divas and their animations. At Disney interactive (Volt), I was a QA and a and Live Services QA Specialist (Quality Assurance) who worked on the entire Disney Infinity (Video Game Series) franchise.
These are just some of the projects I’ve worked on and I have more to disclose, but unfortunately, I only can mention a few.
I’m also a songwriter, performer, and sound mixer. For my first film (“Homeless Sam & Sally – The Movie”) I produced, sang, wrote, and performed the songs “Look Me in My Eyes”, “Gotta Get Some Tissue!”, “We Gotta Figure It Out” (Homeless Sam & Sally – The Movie / TV Series Theme Song), “Video Game”, “Hope”, “Inside of Me!” (Courtesy of Tyrone Evans Clark Inc.). The majority of these songs are heard in “Homeless Sam & Sally – The Movie”.
