Q: Where are you originally from and where are you located now on the map?

Luna Z – A: I was born and raised in Beijing, China. And now I have been living in LA for almost 20 years.

Q: Luna, as a respected producer, a rising icon empowering women around the world and serial investor, what is your motivation or inspiration to do your best and always achieve that next level ?

Luna Z – A: Thank you for saying that. Empowering women is always my motivation in business world and entertainment world. What I have realized is your own success means a lot to me, but to facilitate others to be successful means even more. It brings me greater accomplishments. Furthermore, I am a goal-getter. Once I determine something, I won’t give up until it’s absolutely no more chance. This trait has been driving me to strive for success and has been picking me up from where I fell in the past.

Q: What advice would you give women out there that want to get involved in the entertainment industry or in business?

Luna Z – A: If there’s a will, there’s a way. Do not let anyone let you down easily. What you have envisioned, might not be what he/she has envisioned. Just need to believe yourself and believe the community.

Q: How would you explain your year so far in one word?

Luna Z – A: This year has been a blessing to me. I am more clear with which projects I want to work on and how to work towards my goals. I have extended my network in entertainment and made good connections with tons of key people. I got to be in Cannes Film Festival, attending Eva Longoria’s charity gala; and in TIFF, I was on red carpet with Brian Cox and Cathrine Hardwicke for their film premiere, Prisoner’s daughter.

Q: Can you share with us something people may not know about you? Any hobbies or other secret talents you have and or like to do in your spare time?

Luna Z – A:I am a pole dancer 😝 I started dancing different types at a very young age. When I was brought to a pole studio 5 years ago, I fell in love with that art. Now I am competing secretly and have won two times of first place. That’s a great way of releasing my stress when I am dancing.

Q: What are some projects that you’ve just wrapped up recently or that you’re currently working on now?

Luna Z – A: All the projects I invest, or I am working on falls into a very niche market, which is female orientated content (not female lead but female orientated. I have found many many filmmakers confuse with this). So far, I have invested/funded three short films, one of them is written and directed by Josephine Decker, who won Grand Jury Prize for one of her features in Sundance 2020. As my own producing projects, I have one female samurai story based on a true historical character, one action film about sex trafficking and child abduction, and in talk with some other projects that I like.

Q: What are your official social sites on the web we can follow ?
